MAP Testing Schedule
SCHEDULE WAS REVISED FROM LAST WEDNESDAY! (3 lunches)
Please refer to this link for specific classroom assignments, rosters, and nomenclatures set. All teachers will be involved in testing environment. MAP Testing ScheduleMATH MAP Accommodations: Students who receive oral accommodations for MATH STAAR will receive text to speech access. These students are highlighted in blue on the google sheet rosters. Please make sure these students have headsets for testing. Contact a rover immediately if headsets needed.
Proctors: Administer test to their classroom students and other teacher monitoring in a close room. List of absent students is no longer needed.
Teachers with Proctor: Help monitor the classroom and ask proctor about any students having difficulties with testing.
Rovers: Monitor hallways for "HELP" signs. Watch classes while teachers get questions answered, restroom breaks, etc.
NO Device testing room: Students without a chromebook will report to Comic Book or GTE room for testing with Mrs. Howell & Mrs. Parker.
Additionally, the notice will be sent to news media outlets. The channels include

Collective Commitment Scoreboard Finalized
Science:
-10% to 20% of instruction focused on reading
- Implement campus wide reading strategies
Math:
-Motivational math problems 2x weekly
-Academic vocabulary throughout units
College and Career:
-Multiple choice questions on weekly reader
-Daily vocabulary practice
Tech:
-Multiple choice comprehension questions on weekly reader
Art:
-Daily vocabulary review/application
-Weekly critique to demonstrate proper use of vocabulary
-Weekly/bi-weekly focus on visual literacy (observation and inferencing)
Humanities:
-30 minutes weekly for TEKS that students struggle with
-Semi-formal assessments 2-3 weekly (MAP and STAAR rigor focus)
-Co-teach focusing on reading sessions with SpEd students
-Host a PLN session with simple strategies for campus
During PLC, all departments will spend beginning of meeting focusing on last week's commitments' success or needs of growth. Team Leads to update scoreboard in breakroom. Type all specifics of scoreboard information on PLC google doc.

House Pts Competition
As of Friday, REVEUR won the house points competition.
Teachers & Students in the BIRUDA house may have free dress on Monday, January 22nd.
REVEUR Students must pick up high school dress sticker in the cafeteria upon arrival. Students without stickers will have to change into standardized dress.

- Opening the door for classroom visitors and greeting them
- Ensure that visitors have a place to sit or stand
- Explaining the Learning Target and where they are in the learning
- Answer any questions that visitors have about the class

Weekly Parent Communication
Please be sure to connect with the parents of your students weekly. The newsletter is a great start but be sure to send out at least one piece of correspondence per week in addition to the grade level newsletter.
