Purple Up!
Purple Up Gremlins!
Wednesday, April 15, 2015
Living in the Hampton Roads community, you know how much an important role the US Military plays in our everyday lives. Whether its the celebration of a homecoming at Naval Station Norfolk or the subtle hum of jet engines, the Military is all around us.
As you are also aware {and many of you very personally}, it is not only our service members who sacrifice for our country's freedoms, their families pay a price as well. Birthdays, graduations, and the simpleness of everyday life are missed. As way to honor and show our support for our military connected students and their families, join us in celebrating Purple Up! day on Wednesday, April 15 at Green Run Elementary.
Why wear purple? "Purple is the color that symbolizes all branches of the military, and is the combination of Army green, Air Force blue, Coast Guard blue, Marine red and Navy blue."
So come dressed for a great day of learning in your plums, violets, magentas, amethysts, and Tyrian purples on Wednesday, April 15!
