Take the 21-Day Challenge
The challenge evaluates snacking habits before, during and after the three weeks. We are looking at frequency of snacks that include chips, cookies, candy, soda, energy drinks, fruits and veggies. Parents, please help your child keep a log of their snacks both during and after the challenge.
Morning drop-off reminder
Students do not need to wait for someone to open their door to exit to the curb.
As long as the line of cars is stopped and you are next to the curb, please have your student(s) exit on the curb side and walk along the sidewalk to the Pod 3 doors.
This will greatly improve the wait time and reduce tardies. Thank you!
Take part in Texas Bluebonnet voting
Texas Bluebonnet Award is a unique program that encourages reading for pleasure and is aimed at students in grades 3-6. Each year, 20 books are chosen as the “Texas Bluebonnet Award Master List” by the Texas Bluebonnet Award selection committee.
If students read a minimum of five books from the current master list (or have the books read aloud to them), they have the opportunity to vote for their favorite title during the month of January. The author of the book receiving the most votes statewide is declared the winner of the Texas Bluebonnet Award.
To participate at Hosp, students should fill out an online form for each nominee that they have read. Once they have read and completed five forms, they will be invited to the library Jan. 29 to vote for their favorite book. These students will then be able to attend the Hosp Bluebonnet Celebration that will be held before school closes for the summer! The deadline for reading the books and completing the five forms is Friday, Jan. 29, which will be Voting Day! Click here for access to the form. Be sure that your child is logged in with his/her Frisco ISD account before trying to access the form from home.
The complete list of books on the nominee list is also available on Hosp Library website.
Please contact Mrs. Kumar at kumarg@friscoisd.org if you have any questions.
