November 6 Facility Improvement Bond Election
Voters will be asked to make three decisions by November 6 about building improved facilities to provide new opportunities for students and the community. Spokane Public Schools, the City of Spokane, and the Spokane Public Library have partnered to create value for the citizens they serve. Together, the city and schools measures will:
Build three new middle schools and modernize three existing middle schools
Build three new libraries and modernize four existing library facilities
Provide input on the location for replacing the aging Joe Albi Stadium
The additional and replacement middle schools give the district enough space to move sixth graders out of elementary school and into a three-grade middle school model to lengthen the time between significant transitions for students. Shifting sixth graders reduces class sizes and eases crowding at elementary schools. Additional investments will be made in safety, technology, and smaller building improvements districtwide.
A change in how Washington state funds public education is creating a $2.20 per thousand decrease in property tax rates beginning in 2019. The bond proposes reinvesting $0.98 of that reduction into schools and city libraries. More information is available at partnershipspokane.org.
ASB Cookie Dough Fundraiser
Glover’s cookie dough school fundraiser kicks off on October 9. Students will receive a packet that day full of information to help them fundraise for our school. Orders can be collected from family and friends or they can be submitted online. All orders and money are due by Tuesday, October 23. The money raised goes towards student activities, dances, sports and other things our student government identifies as a need for students.

PowerSchool Parent Portal
What is PowerSchool Parent Portal?
Parent accounts are different than student accounts. It is encouraged that parents create their own account.
Parent Portal is a resource for parents/guardians to track their child(ren)’s attendance, grades, cumulative information, and test scores. It also allows the parent to see teacher comments, email the teacher, and set up email notifications for attendance and grades.
With a Parent account, parent/guardians can link more than one student to view all their information in one location.
Parent Portal is available for Middle School and High School students ONLY.
Please call the Glover Office to obtain your unique code to set this up if you haven’t already.
