By: Dakota Moreno

The genre of this book is autobiography, and I know this because throughout the story the author Dave Pelzer is telling us (the readers) about his life

Title & Author?

The title is "A Child Called It," and the author of this story is Dave Pelzer.

Biography or Autobiography?

This story is an autobiography; because, the author, Dave Pelzer, is telling the readers about how his mother treated him and how his life was as a young child.

Any Struggles?

The author of this book goes through many hard times, but the worst is being treated like an animal in his household, not being fed, and being abused by his own mother,

In the end Dave Pelzer's biggest accomplishment was surviving. If Dave wouldn't have survived we wouldn't be here reading this amazing book, so Dave's biggest accomplishment was holding out, praying, and having hope through his hard times to get him where he's is now. A proud and strong surviver.

Dave Pelzer inspires me because of how much strength and hope he has; because, if he didn't have hope he would've been finished a long time ago. His faith in God is so strong to and even when he had really bad days and cursed God for them, he still went back that night and new he was always there to listen and help him get through the night.

Inspiring Quote?

"It is important for people to know that no matter what lies in their past, they can overcome the dark side and press on the a brighter world." This is inspiring because he is saying that no matter what has happened to you you can still achieve greatness and nothing can hold you back but yourself.

I would strongly recommend this book to millions of people it is such an amazing book and teaches you to be thankful for the life that you have and recognize the things others have to go through in life.
