A Note from Mrs. Williams

Hello Schluter Families!

Happy August! August is my favorite month, not just because it's my birthday month, but also because this is when we get to welcome our students and families back into our building! On Monday, I get to welcome our entire staff back for learning and preparing for this school year. I can hardly wait!

As we get closer to the first day of school on Wednesday, August 17th, there are a couple of school events you'll want to be aware of. Please review them below and mark your calendars!

If you are returning to Schluter for this school year, welcome back! Don't forget that even if your child is returning to Schluter, registration must still be completed, and we need an updated proof of residency. Information you need for next steps is below.

If your child is still needing immunizations, there is one final NISD immunization clinic available on Monday, August 15th, from 3:00-6:00pm at the NISD Administration Building. The address is 2001 Texan Drive, Justin, TX 76247.

We are looking forward to welcoming everyone back very soon!

Have you registered your child for school yet? Online enrollment is open for the 2022-2023 school year! Enrollment doesn’t roll over year to year and is required annually. Families can complete an easy 1-2-3 process for returning students to quickly register their children for next school year.

For families of currently enrolled students who will return next year, the process will take a matter of a few minutes with a quick, three-step process in Home Access Center. Learn more about the documents you’ll need to enroll, or get the process started at

Free & Reduced Lunch Program

While the federal government subsidized a free meal program that Northwest ISD implemented for all elementary and middle school students last year, this program was not funded for 2022-2023. This means families who meet income requirements should apply for the free and reduced-cost meal program if they believe their children should qualify for these meals.

Students in this program receive one breakfast and one lunch combo meal daily for their free or reduced-cost price. Families can apply online or print out a paper copy of the form. Those who previously were accepted into the program will have a 30-day grace period to reapply.
