End of the Year Newsletter
Note From Principal Wheeler
Bulldog families,
As we come to the end of another school year, I wanted to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude for your continued support. This year has been filled with challenges and uncertainties, but thanks to your unwavering dedication and commitment, we were able to overcome them all.
I am constantly amazed by the resilience and determination of our students, who have shown time and time again that they are capable of achieving great things. The hard work and perseverance that each and every one of you has demonstrated is truly inspiring, and I feel incredibly proud to be a part of this community.
I also want to express my heartfelt gratitude to the parents who have been such an integral part of our school. Your support, encouragement, and involvement have made a tremendous difference in the lives of our students, and I am grateful for the trust and confidence you have placed in us.
Looking ahead to next year, I am excited to continue our journey together and build upon the successes of this year. I am confident that with your continued support, we will achieve even greater things and make this community an even better place to be.
Finally, I want to say that we have the best kids here at our school. Their creativity, curiosity, and enthusiasm are contagious, and I feel so lucky to have the opportunity to work with them every day. They are the reason we do what we do, and I am grateful for the privilege of being a part of their lives.
Thank you once again for all that you do, and I wish you all a safe, happy, and restful summer.

Centennial Elementary's Alumni Scholarship
Edmond (May 2023) – 2023 Memorial High graduate Will Morris was named Centennial Elementary’s inaugural Brave Buffalo scholarship recipient in front of a roaring crowd of Centennial students, faculty, and administration on May 5. Principal Ellie Adkins Webb presented Centennial’s first ever $1,000 alumni college scholarship during a school assembly. Will shared encouraging words and ‘high fives’ with his younger Buffalos and was congratulated by former teachers on staff at Centennial today.
The PTO-funded merit-based scholarship will be awarded each spring to one Centennial Elementary alumnus who completed at least one full school year at Centennial, to include his or her 5th grade year. Will, fifth grade class of 2016, was selected from an impressive group of alumni applicants, each sharing what Centennial’s Creed has meant to them since their elementary years. Will takes his scholarship to the University of Tulsa this fall where he plans to major in mechanical engineering and play Golden Hurricane football.
