Hillary Clinton for 2016!!!
The People's Champion
Hillary Clinton on Gun Control:
“I "If you have guns in your home,” Clinton tells middle school students on Long Island, “tell your parents to keep them away from you and your friends and your little brothers and sisters.” Addressing the National Education Association in Orlando, she says, “It does not make sense for us at this point in our history to turn our backs on the reality that there are too many guns and too many children have access to those guns—and we have to act to prevent that."Blannelberry, S.H. "Hillary Clinton on the Second Amendment - Guns America Digest." Guns America Digest. N.p., 16 Apr. 2015. Web. 15 Sept. 2016. Many supporters of Clinton solidify her her stance on gun control; The Second Amendment does not give citizen the right to keep and bear arms, but only allows for the states to keep a militia(National Guard). Additional gun control laws are necessary to stop gun violence and limit the ability of criminal activity throughout the nation. More guns means more violence.
Hillary Clinton on Global Warming/Climate Change:
“You pushed for and rallied behind President Obama’s use of the Clean Air Act to set the first ever federal limits on carbon pollution from existing power plants, which are driving the most dangerous effects of climate change. As you know so well, power plants account for about 40 percent of the carbon pollution in the United States, and therefore must be addressed. And the unprecedented action that President Obama has taken must be protected at all cost. “So this is an exciting time. From the administration’s announcement last month of a $3 billion commitment to the global green climate fund, to that new joint announcement with China, to new rules under consideration for ozone, we continue to push forward. But that is just the beginning of what is needed." "Hillary Climate Change Is Important." Washington Post. The Washington Post, n.d. Web. 15 Sept. 2016. Global Warming is caude by an increased production of carbon dioxide through the burning of fossil fuels such as coals, natural gases, and oil. The U.S. is a major contributor to global warming because it produces 25% of the world's carbon dioxide. Proposed laws to reduce carbon emissions in the the U.S. are urgently need and should be enacted immediately to save our planet. Many reputable scientists support this theory that Clinton is trying to justify.
Hillary Clinton on Energy:
“I won’t let anyone take us backward, deny our economy the benefits of harnessing a clean energy future, or force our children to endure the catastrophe that would result from unchecked climate change.” "Hillary on Climate Change." Clean Energy. N.p., n.d. Web. 15 Sept. 2016. Hillary realizes that oil is a depleting resource. Other sources of energy must be explored. The government must produce a national plan for all energy resources and partially pay for alternative energy research and production. It is our civic duty to support increased exploration of alternative energy sources such as wind and solar power. Also we all must show our support to government control of gas and electric industries.
