Happy New Year!
The Digital Learning department strives for continuous improvement in everything we do so that we can best support impactful, digital learning in all BISD classrooms. In that spirit and in the spirit of the new year, we are debuting “new and improved” district Twitter chats!
The wonderful 15-Day Holiday Twitter Challenge brought many new BISD faces into the Twitter conversation, and we hope that these new changes will encourage even more new faces to join our tweeting PLN. If you have any questions, please contact your friendly digital learning specialist via e-mail or in person. We would love to answer any Twitter questions that you may have.
New and Improved Twitter Chats for 2016!
Tuesday Night Live Twitter Chats 8:00 - 8:30
New features coming throughout the Spring 2016 twitter chats: monthly special guest hosts, questions now previewed one week in advance, monthly themes, special "meet-and-tweet with the Digital Learning Team" evenings (watch for announcement of dates and locations)
ALL NEW!!!
Every Friday Slow-Chats - #BISDShines - Let's show the world how BISD students and staff are shining!
Every Friday, all day, the same question:
What was amazing this week? Share a shining moment from your campus/classroom that occurred this week. Include a photo, if possible.

Just For Elementary: App of the Week
Seesaw empowers students of any age to independently document what they are learning at school. Students capture learning with photos and videos of physical work, or by adding digital creations. Everything is uploaded and kept organized for teachers. Teachers can invite families to Seesaw so parents get an immediate, personalized window into their child's learning.
