Home Coming (Jerry Junkins)

Community Outreach

Another shout out to more potential partnerships! Rose has opened yet another door for us to meet with Hyatt. We also received 250 backpacks from Costco! Rose and Stephanie also took the initiative to visit the Oxford Glen Open House (Memory Care home) to meet our neighbors! I joined them. On the way back to school, we stopped at the fire station to meet the "A Team" crew who were excited to possibly partner with us and support our students!

Thank you for reaching out to the community!

In the News

Jerry Junkins Genius Time
Our JJ Time went great! Yes, it would have been better if we had more time but some great ideas were shared about how we can address student and campus. We discussed them during out Grade Level Chair Meetings so we can move forward with action steps. Please feel free to view our meeting minutes! I am attaching our minutes on a drive from our lead team meetings and GLC meetings. https://drive.google.com/a/dallasisd.org/folderview?id=0B-gl2vDzPjo4fjVJMG8wcEd2QTRkeDd0SHp5bEFGdTFhYnBWanVYR3BrR0t4aTBtZFhiNHM&usp=sharing

Coffee Talk
Added to the list was a suggestion that we offer coffee every morning. I LOVE the idea, but need your help....who is going to maintain this and clean the pot? Who is going to remember to turn off the coffee pot? I only say this because Ms. Jennifer should not be in charge of this. My waffle stunk up the office with a burnt smell, so I need to stay away from these type of responsibilities...just sayin. I called Parks Coffee service, but it will be $150 a month, at the least (thinking those that want coffee to pitch in). Jerry Junkins Geniuses, any ideas? Please feel free to share with your grade level chair so they can let me know!

3. Data Team SE Form filled out (click on link. This form is in google drive located under protocol). Reviewing the data as you complete this form will be helpful in the flow of the meeting: https://drive.google.com/a/dallasisd.org/file/d/0B-gl2vDzPjo4aFRqXzEzTlotX1E/view?usp=sharing

Coach, I need help
Rochelle will be uploading the Coach Request form onto the Google Drive. Stay tuned..

Tuesday Folder Info

Teachers, I received some feedback that you guys were receiving information last minute. The office staff discussed that we will honor the deadline of Monday afternoon so that by Tuesday morning you will have all information required to send home in Tuesday folders. Keep in mind that sometimes our district sends us stuff that needs to be sent home urgently. In this case, please be flexible. Thank you.
