WEEKLY LITURGICAL READINGS AND REFLECTIONS
25th Sunday in Ordinary Time
“Whoever receives one child such as this in my name, receives me; and whoever receives me,receives not me but the One who sent me.”
Personal Meditation
How often does our love for each other, especially for our children, mirror that of Christ’s love for us
Praying with you and for you as we focus on family and mission in Catholic education.
Blessings Everyone!
We are excited to start our week off with our special All School Retreat Day tomorrow, led by inspirational and nationally renowned speaker Mike Patin. Interspersed with prayer experiences led by Deacon Bob Grgic, and organized service projects in student homerooms, this is the second year we are having it in the beginning of the year instead of January. We have found that the extra benefits of it adding an even greater spiritual dimension to the start of the school year, and to have no worries about snow canceling all the plans, enhances its effects and impact! And this year, it connects well with the kick off of our Parish Jubilee next weekend!
We are also excited to end our week with our annual All School Feast of St. Gabriel Spirit Day assembly on Friday. Student Council has been planning another great assembly that will help us celebrate our faith and honor the feast of St. Gabriel. We will have official solemn inauguration of our new Student Council homeroom representatives, and special presentations created by student council to proclaim the values we live by at St. Gabriel School.
Students can dress down in school colors if possible. See the Spirit Day Dress Code guidelines.
Peace, love and courage to all,
In Christ,
Mrs. Saladino

PTU Sunshine Committtee
The goal of the St. Gabriel PTU Sunshine Committee is to bring a little ray of sunshine, and perhaps a smile(!), to members of our school community that are not feeling very “sunny”. We also like to celebrate happy occasions too! We do this by sending home a card, small gift, or an act of service. Some examples are (but not limited to):
· Student injury / surgery
· Death of a loved one
· Death of an immediate family member
· Family is in crisis
· Prayers needed
· Birth of a sibling
· Staff: weddings / new babies
*Meal Trains & other acts of service
Currently, we are notified by the front office of anyone in need of services. If parents or students notify the office of an issue occurring within the family, we are then notified and items are delivered (through the school) within a week. Our biggest concern is that someone is missed! Maybe the family does not notify the office, but they share information with you the teacher. WE NEED YOUR HELP!!!
If you hear of anyone in need of our services, please contact the front office or feel free to directly e-mail us.
Thank you!!
