Message from Principal Clevenger

Classic Students Returning 5 Days a Week on April 5th.

Monday, April 5th, after RBV returns from Spring Break, all classic students will return to school 5 days a week. Here are some important details:

This Friday, March 26th will be an asynchronous day for all RBVHS students.

  • No students will have class on campus including classic students last name M-Z.
  • All RBV students must log into their first period class to take attendance.
  • In preparation for the full time return of classic students to campus, the RBV team will use this day to finalize rooms and make adjustments to plans.

RBVHS will resume the Late Start on Monday on April 5th, 2021.

The teams at our school have been making preparations for this return. Our school is taking many health and safety mitigation measures including mandatory mask wearing for all students and staff, daily health self-checks, hand washing stations, social distancing, temperature checks, outdoor learning environments, classroom cleaning, sanitizing, etc.

Thank you to all of the students and families for your patience and flexibility as we worked to navigate the adjustments to the state regulations. The great news is that our students who chose Vista Classic can spend the last few months of the school year reconnecting with their peers and deepening their relationships with teachers and staff. This is a great way to end the school year!

A chance to Thank A Hero

During these changing times and schedules, one group has especially risen to the challenge. Our custodial staff has moved, cleaned, fixed, and distributed almost every item on this campus every step of the way. And all the while maintaining a sense of humor and a positive attitude.

Please join us in saying “Thank you” to our awesome custodians by donating tokens of appreciation, snacks, beverages, or whatever you think will be appreciated by our custodial crew. There are ten (10) on our custodial crew. The ten items can be brought to the front office.

Thank you for joining us in recognizing their efforts.

Spring Break

The dates for Spring break are March 29th-April 2nd.

RBV Prom is Cancelled

The venue hosting the RBV Prom will not be holding any in-person events. At this time, RBVHS will not be holding a prom this year. Any events that you may see on social media are not sanctioned or approved by the school. Please continue to follow all health guidelines on gatherings.

On site COVID-19 testing available for all RBVHS athletes

In an effort to continue providing safe and valuable opportunities for our athletes, VUSD is requiring testing for all high school athletes participating in outdoor or indoor competition. To support this process VUSD will have mobile testing opportunities for students on each campus.

VUSD students do no need to use this testing opportunity, however student athletes will be required to provide a negative test result to their coach prior to competing.

There are guidelines on how often testing needs to take place. Please contact your coach for testing schedule and for the onsite testing information and waiver.
