Last day of term...
We'd just like to remind you that the last day of term is this Friday 18 December and students are encouraged to come to college that day wearing Christmas outfits. A Christmas Celebration assembly will take place at 9.30am for all students and staff at Les Ozouets Campus. Students should come straight to LOC that morning and will be dismissed from there at 1pm. Students will be served festive rolls (dietary requirements will be met with various alternative options). This assembly will include some of the elements from the Carol Service held in previous years and will allow all students from across the College to be involved in a meaningful celebration of the Christmas message.
Please also put a note in your diaries that the first day of term for students will be Tuesday 5 January as we have a staff INSET Day on Monday 4 January 2021.

COVID 19 - UPDATE/LATEST ADVICE
Students being sent home after developing possible Covid-19 symptoms
Following advice from Education Services, any of our students who need to be sent home due to having possible Covid symptoms, and their parents/carers, should read the information in the leaflets links to which are below. These leaflets explain the situation and provide initial advice.

Leaflet for Students & Apprentices being sent home with Covid symptoms
Information in the leaflets will be updated as advice from Public Health changes, so please do read them if your son/daughter/ward is sent home with possible Covid symptoms, even if they were sent home recently and you read the leaflets then.
Latest guidance
If anyone becomes unwell with any flu like symptoms (headache, muscle aches, blocked nose, fever, sore throat, cough, sneezing, shortness of breath or loss of taste or smell) they must stay at home. Anyone developing symptoms at the College will be sent home immediately and advised to contact the Coronavirus helpline to arrange testing.
Symptomatic individuals should isolate on their own until they have received a negative test result. Young children will require a parent or carer to isolate with them. Assuming family members have no contact with the isolating child and parent/carer, they can carry on their activities as normal.

The States of Guernsey Thank You...
This Christmas we are truly counting our blessings.
Because we have worked together, all year, we are able to enjoy the festivities in a way that almost no one else in the World can. All of this has only been possible because of you.
In what has been a dark year, you have shone.
We know there have been sacrifices, we understand there continues to be sacrifices for many of you. We also know it’s not possible for all of you to be with those you love this Christmas.
However you are spending the festive period this year, we wish you a very Merry Christmas.
Thank you, from us to you. You have brought the magic this Christmas. You are the magic this Christmas.
Thank you to everyone who supported this film, Eleven Guernsey, St Stephens Players, The Town Church of St Peter Port, Guernsey Market Place, The Cock and Bull and especially Spike Productions.
