September 7, 2021

A note from Mrs. Solomon

Hope everyone had a wonderful Labor Day weekend. What wonderful weather we had yesterday. Last Friday, D303 elementary staff engaged in professional learning in phonics for grades K-2, The Reading Units of Study for grades 3-5, and our specialists were engaged in professional learning that is specific to their role.

We have an open house coming up that is an ADULTS ONLY event. Please read the section below in regards to the open house event.

Special Education Parent Advisory Committee:

The D303 Special Education Parent Advisory Committee (SE-PAC) has set four meeting dates for the 2021-2022 school year. Our meetings will occur quarterly, from 7:00-8:30 pm on September 7, November 2, February 1 and April 5. For now, our meetings will be held remotely via Zoom. A link for the September 7 meeting is included below.

One of our yearly outcomes is the completion of a survey gathering insights from families on special education services within District 303. Information gained from last year's survey assisted the SE-PAC leadership team in planning for this school year. Please plan to attend the September 7 meeting to learn more about future meetings and share your insights and suggestions to improve our 2021-2022 parent survey. We hope to see you on September 7th!
