Outdoor Education

Please be sure that all forms are returned for our Outdoor School trip to Camp Ramah. The following items need to be turned in by this Friday, February 28th:

  1. Field Trip Excursion Authorization
  2. Green Medical Form – must be completed for all students even if you will not be bringing any medication with you to school.
  3. Payment – The cost for outdoor school is $250. If you have more than one child attending, the cost for the second child is $188. All checks should be made payable to Colina Middle School. If there are any problems with making payment, please contact Mrs. Chiapuzio in the front office (805) 495-7429. We want every student to attend, please let us know what support your family may need.

We have also set up a new payment plan for anyone still interested in paying for outdoor school in three installments.

Payment #3 $80 due Friday, 2/28

Payments can also be made on Colina's Web Store.

Outdoor Ed. Medication - If your child will be bringing any over the counter or prescription medication with them to outdoor school, you will need to have a Medication Authorization Form filled out by a doctor. Please contact your child’s Science teacher or Mrs. Rogers, Health Clerk, in the office to obtain the Medication Authorization Form. If your child already has a Medication form on file at school, you do not need to complete an additional form (unless it does not cover all medication that will be taken while at outdoor school).

Please let your child's Science Teacher know if you have any questions or concerns. A link to all of the required forms can be found here: Outdoor School Forms .

Citizenship Points- In an effort to help keep students accountable to the citizenship points system in a more timely manner, we will be moving away from monthly Saturday Schools and implementing an opportunity for students to make up their points through "Tuesday School" . Points lists will be posted at the attendance window and students will be reminded to have their points at 80+ at the end of every week (Friday). On Monday mornings, administrators will run a point report and any students deficient in points will be assigned to Tuesday School the following day from 730 am -930 am. If an assigned student does not attend the assigned Tuesday School without prior notice to the office, the student will make up that time after school that day from 230-420 or 315-515 pm depending on the student's schedule.

Mamba Sports Academy will be hosting LATE START SPORTS and sign ups are available at https://mambasportsacademy.com/youth-programs/school-enrichment-programs/.
