Please complete the following:
1) Review the traffic redirection work that will be happening periodically from now until the end of the school year. After leaving school grounds, traffic on GLEN AND Catherine will most likely need to turn right to get anywhere in town, including downtown, as left-hand turns onto Charles will be limited.

School Updates
Dear William Allen Families,
Well, it looks like the rain has officially brought in Spring by the end of this week. As the playground dries out, students are getting out and enjoying the fresh air and playing really hard. It is great to see more children sharing, taking, turns, and trying to resolve typical peer conflict in appropriate ways. We will continue to strive on helping kids recognize conflict as a step to preventing the jump to extreme claims. As we start next year, please be on the lookout for a series of conversations about how you can help your child at home and understand the difference between bullying and age-appropriate issues that all children face.
On Tuesday, May 16th, we will host an organizational school council meeting in our conference room. We are looking for 3-4 parents to sit on this committee for a 2-year cycle. Please email Mr. Gray if you are interested in helping with our community and school improvement goals, gray.d@sau54.org. Our first step is taking a look at what targeted instruction currently looks like here at William Allen. Take a moment to review the graphic below.
As May is heating up, so is our school calendar with end-of-year activities. We had a great send-off into spring break with the UNH Day of the Coast program, where students in all grades spent some time in the role of an ecologist exploring the many wonderful aspects of the coastal area where we live. This week starts some of our focus on getting off-site field trips back into the curriculum, Grade 5 is at the Great Bay Discovery Center today and Grade 3 is off to the Christa McAuliffe Center next week. Next week, the high school band visits us for a 30-minute performance, and our 4th and 5th-grade band/chorus students will put on a show for us next Friday, May 12th. We wish all of our band students the best as they perform their Spring Concert at RMS on 5/10!
Nurse Notes
Thank you to all families who have turned in their health consent forms. We are at 97% turned in! Those last few ones are coming in soon.
We have had some seasonal illnesses pop up recently, such as allergies, strep, etc... Please let the school know when you call in if your child is sick and has relevant symptoms.
As the last day of school approaches, parents need to stop by and pick up medications that your child takes during the day, including inhalers. Students cannot bring these home themselves.
Please reach out to the school nurse with any questions!!!
