Habitat
Chameleons inhabit all kinds of biotopes like tropical and montane rain forests, savannas and sometimes semi-deserts and steppes. Also there habitats are usually founded in trees and small bushes. (Chameleon) Chameleons look for green huge jungles to live in. You may also find them in mountains too. Some example places are: Africa, Madagascar, Middle East, western India, and southern Europe.(Chameleons On Location 39)
Movement
Chameleons are small and slow.(Chameleons On Location 39) They can move like any other animal: Up, down, and backward too. Also, chameleons will not release any thing until there front legs are surely in full grip. (Chameleons On Location 27) From their amazing eye site they can know and see exactly where they want to go from either far or close. (Chameleons)
Body Covering
Chameleons change color from there emotions. Some of the colors they turn in to is tan and that emotion is calm. The second one is all different colors is mad and/or angry. Black and orange means that the chameleon is pregnant. Yellow is when they surrender, and the final one is plain black which is REALLY angry. (Chameleons On Location 13)
Diet
Chameleons eat mostly insects. They also eat small birds, mammals, and lizards too.(Chameleons On Location 39) Their tongue is the main way to get the food they need, and the tongue is sticky and that helps them get their food easier because the food sticks to the end. It covers the insect or mammal or bird in the sticky substance and the animal getting eaten can not escape.(Chameleon)
Reproduction
Some species of chameleons have live babies or they lay eggs. (Chameleons On Location 39)Gestation or incubation ranges from three to eighteen months, and some chameleons produce several hundred offspring a year. (Chameleons On Location 39)
Adaptions
Chameleons have many predators, since they are small and easy to catch. Humans are a predator of chameleons too. There are also large birds, snakes, spiders, lizards, and lemurs are all predictors of chameleon. Also some of chameleons behaviors are secretive, solidarity and aggressive.
