*Germs Lesson from the School Nurse at 8:30

*Language Arts and Math Skills Progress Reports – Monday’s Take Home Folder

*P.E. – Please have your child wear tennis shoes and shorts under dresses/skirts for physical education.


Tuesday (9/27):

*Computer Lab from 8:30-9:20

*Library – Please have your child return his/her library book in the BIG baggie provided by the library ladies.

*Art


Wednesday (9/28):

*Substitute Teacher – Mrs. Raney will teach the class while the kindergarten teachers plan with the ICs (Instructional Coaches).

*Center Room

*P.E. – Please have your child wear tennis shoes and shorts under dresses/skirts for physical education.


Thursday (9/29):

*Messy Day - Please have your child wear clothes that can get a little messy (dirt and shaving cream).

*Take Home Readers – Your child will bring home a take home reader to read to the family. Please ask your child to retell the story.

*Music


Friday (9/30):

*Good Manners Tea Party – Your child can wear his/her Sunday best to school (tie, dress, pearls, gloves, purse, etc.). Please do not pack a lunch for your child. Lunch will be provided by our parent volunteers. This special event is only for the kindergartners – they will practice their table manners with their friends.

*Poem Book – Your child will bring home a poem book to read to the family. Enjoy listening to your child chant “Little Miss Muffet”. Please return the poem book to school on Monday. We will add a new poem to the poem book each week. Thank you!

*P.E. – Please have your child wear tennis shoes and shorts under dresses/skirts for physical education.

Upcoming Events:

*Fall Festival (LASSO) – Friday, October 21 – A day full of fun playing games to reinforce language arts and math skills. We will need A LOT of parent volunteers! Please help!


*Pumpkin Carving – Friday, October 28 – Our dads will get a chance to help carve pumpkins and do some pumpkin activities (counting pumpkin seeds, circumference of a pumpkin, etc.).


*The 50th Day of School – Monday, October 31 – Your child can dress like the 1950’s. The children will be bowling, hula hooping, and dancing the day away!
