Principal's Den
It is very hot during our summer months as you know. It is important that you continue to hydrate by drinking plenty of water. If you are hot during recess please remember that you have an option to sit in the shade under the pavilion. On very hot days we have our MPR open as well if you prefer to cool down in there or we may have inclement weather days and not go out to recess.
We are entering the month of September and some of our school and extracurricular programs are getting started. We started our Mandarin classes last week and that is very exciting. Many of you have already completed our MAP assessment for the Fall and some of you are finishing up. Always strive do your best at all that you do. If you are going to work at something you should make it your best effort.
Please continue to follow all safety recommendations concerning Covid. If you are sick, experiencing any covid symptoms, or have been exposed to someone at home that has tested positive, it is very important that you remain home until you are feeling better, have gone a day without the need for fever reducing medicine, or have completed a quarantine. If you have any questions, please contact our school office for assistance.
As a reminder, it is very important that we avoid physical contact with others whenever possible. The game of tag is not allowed or any kind of game where you are physically trying to make contact with others. Make sure you follow all classroom and school rules.
It's great to have your back. Let's make this our best year and as always, let's strive to be LEADERS BY EXAMPLE!
Thank you,
At Cloverdale we strive to be Leaders by Example. As I mention to our students during announcements, this means that we always try to do the right thing even when no one is looking.
As part of our school's Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support (PBIS), we also learn to ROAR. This is a matrix that exemplifies our core values of being Respectful, Organized, Accountable, and Responsible.
Our goal is to be college ready once we graduate from High School and that starts today!
Sincerely,
Genaro García
Principal
