Gompers journey...#180daysofwhy..#students
Gompers,
Looking forward to another great week in #GATORNATION. As you know we are in full motion toward student proficiency goals with 6 weeks before Spring Break and 9 weeks before SBAC administration. As we push through, continue to ensure each learning opportunity is working to meet the goals that hold students to high expectations.
Please review the Book Fair information from PTSA as there is an added twist of Math Night. We hope you will support through advertising in your own weekly newsletters but also attend the event as well.
I heard through the grapevine that there was "Couple Frenzy" in GATORNATION last Friday for FFF....It was good to get the pictures as I sat in the principal's meeting...I was smiling and thinking of all of you!!

Respectfully,

March 3 & 4th - Intervention & Support Conferences
March Conference Letters
A master copy of the district created letter that teachers can send home to parents inviting them to a March conference was placed in your boxes last week. Please make as many as you need.
As a reminder, the March 3-4 conferences are a great opportunity for a teacher to meet with the parent of any student for whom there may be concerns, whether academic or otherwise. These conferences ARE NOT ONLY for students who may be retained; however, teachers must meet with the parent of any student who may be recommended for retention. The draft promotion/retention criteria the district plans to use this school year was shared at our recent principal's meeting last, Friday, 2/21. It will also be shared with Teacher Council representatives on 2/26. Please scroll down below and click on the button below for the Promotion Retention Information Slides shared with us last Friday.
