FSE Weekly Update

There's a Superhero in Each of Us!

May 16, 2016

Guardian of the Galaxy!

Our Staff Member of the Week goes to Denise Cherry Muenster! Thank you for making the Mother's Day Cake Decorating event such a huge success!

Thanks so much for all you do!

As we wind down the school year, remember to thank and honor each other for going above and beyond!

Reading Celebration

We are super excited about reaching our Floresville Reads Millions goal! Thank you for all of your hard work!

We will celebrate on Wednesday. Be sure to check previous emails.

Also, each student will get to "purchase" a book from the Book Fair on Tuesday/Wednesday for $5.00 or less. Those gift certificates should be in your boxes today.

Join Us Thursday Evening

Please join us Thursday, May 19 for our end of year choir performance and our Art Show! We will have late Book Fair shopping as well. Please encourage your students via class messaging systems to come to the book fair. All money goes back to the school!

Faculty Meeting Tuesday

We will have our May faculty meeting tomorrow. Items on the agenda include End of Year checkout sheets and Class List Development.

We will also honor Leysa Pavliska who is retiring this year! Leysa, you will be missed!

Shredding of Confidential Information

Teachers, just a reminder to shred confidential information. The office staff is not able to shred for you. The alternative is to send the items home, such as bubble sheets with the students so that you do not have to shred all of it.

Grade Level Numbers for next Year

After reviewing the information for next year's numbers, here are the staffing projections:

Kinder- 6 teachers

1st- 7 teachers

2nd- 7 teachers

3rd- 7 teachers

4th- 7 teachers

5th- 6 teachers

Of course, once warm bodies show up, if a particular grade level is low or high, we may adjust. For example, right now we only have 80 Kindergartners registered. We know that more will show up, and if the Kinder numbers are through the roof, we will adjust.

For PreK, we will wait to see who qualifies to determine staffing.

Master Schedule

Thank you to the team leaders for helping develop the master schedule for next year. We have been getting the input from teams and finalizing the schedule. We will send that out before we leave for summer break!
