Library News
We had a GREAT pizza and Oreo lunch. I am going to miss these students! They are an awesome bunch!
- The Denton Public Youth Librarian from the South branch visited. He told all the students that ALL Denton students CAN use their ID to check out. There is a simple bilingual form that must be filled out online before trying to check out with the ID. Take advantage of all your public libraries have to offer!
- Students & Parents: please take care of lost or damaged books.
- If lost, use this list to find it.
- If completely lost OR damaged & unusable:
- Pay the McMath Library to replace it.
- Get a hard cover copy in excellent condition*. *Must have librarian approval.
- Can’t afford any amount? Work off the debt with your teacher. They have you help in the classroom, they email us your name & ID, and we erase the debt.
- NO money exchanges hands. The library will probably NOT replace it. Our budget has been slashed.
- But we get a patron who can check out again and will – we hope – be more careful with their books in the future. That is what we want the most.
- Are you worried that you owe? Check your school g-mail account. Email the librarian at amodrow@g.dentonisd.org and ask. You are NOT bothering me! I am glad to answer these questions and even happier that you are being responsible!

Summer Learning for Students
Summer is around the corner, and we are excited to offer a great learning experience for your student this summer. McMath Middle School is excited to offer an engaging summer school program called Jumpstart and it is designed to help your child thrive. Click here for the district flyer.
These programs are perfect for students who want to:
- Strengthen Core Math Skills: Brush up on math concepts in a smaller, supportive environment.
- Gain a head start: Get a jump on next year's curriculum and retain essential skills.
- Gain back an elective in 9th Grade: if your student failed the first semester or is on track to fail the second semester, then this is a great 7-day opportunity to earn a high school elective back.
Our dedicated teachers will create a positive and interactive learning experience, fostering confidence and a love of learning.
Enrollment is open and for more information and to register, please visit this registration link.
We look forward to seeing your child this summer!
