REGIONAL HONOR CHOIR
Regional Honor Choir auditions were a success. CHS had several students prepare a classical song, mostly in Italian and German, to sing virtually for a judge. Students also had to sight-read music they have never seen. When all the scores from around the state were tallied, Chandler High Choir had five students score into the 2021 Regional Honor Choir. Listed in alphabetical order by voice part, please congratulate: Bass: Todd Applegate, Kyle Collins, Jacob Hernandez, and Soprano: Kayla King and Claire Willes. These students will participate in a virtual Regional Honor Choir experience in March and will qualify to audition for All-State.
REGIONAL HONOR BAND AND ORCHESTRA
Auditions were held for this year’s Regional Honor Band and Orchestra, and congratulations are in order for Katarina Fenner (Band) and Khaymin Westbrook (Orchestra Viola). Katarina and Khaymin will participate in the virtual Regional Honor Band and Orchestra.

MARCH CALENDAR
IMPORTANT GRADUATION INFORMATION
Parents/Guardians and Seniors,
As we move forward with our planning for the Class of 2021 graduation ceremony, the District Office has informed us that due to the pandemic, students will be allowed to invite 2 guests to attend at this time. Two latex free wristbands will be issued to seniors to distribute to their guests. The latex free wristbands MUST be worn to obtain access to the Austin Field bleachers and will be strictly enforced.
We know you have many questions about the graduation ceremonies, but unfortunately, we will need to be closer to the date before we can finalize the details to share with you. We are investigating a number of different scenarios that will ultimately be decided based on the status of the pandemic and the subsequent health guidelines provided by the CDC, Maricopa County and Chandler Unified School District at the time of graduation. Rest assured that as soon as we know what direction we will be taking, we will let you know.
Thank you for your patience as we navigate through these challenging times.
