Rest, Relax, Rejuvenate
Dear Winchester Students, Parents, and Staff,
All Winchester Elementary students, families, and staff are encouraged to use our breaks to rest, relax, and rejuvenate. We believe that breaks should be a time to Sharpen the Saw, reconnect with our families, and enjoy some special “down time” with family and friends. Therefore all students AND staff will be free of academic-related work during the following dates:
- Thanksgiving Break (Wednesday, November 28 - Sunday, December 1)
- Winter Break (Saturday, December 21 - Sunday, January 5)
- Mid-Winter Break (Saturday, February 15 - Tuesday, February 18)
- Spring Break (Saturday, April 4 - Sunday, April 12)
On the return day from each respective break, there will be no homework, assignments, projects, or papers due and no quizzes or tests. We hope you and your family consider the upcoming Thanksgiving Break a chance to rest, relax, and return to school rejuvenated!
Parking Lot Safety
Congratulations Mrs. Rush!
Christmas came early this year for one of our teachers. Last Wednesday, the Northville Educational Foundation awarded a $455 Innovative Teaching Grant to Kandy Rush for her project, Improving Decoding through Multi-Sensory Instruction.
She has gone above and beyond by applying for this grant so she can initiate this wonderful project for our students. Congratulations Mrs. Rush! These grants would not be possible without generous donors such as yourself. NEF is starting their Annual Campaign. Please consider donating so more Innovative Grants can be awarded next year. Go to www.SupportNEF.org for more information.
