Support Requested
We understand that many of the families in the Cozine community rely on their older children to help our students get home from school. However, we have been having issues with middle and high school students arriving well before the dismissal bell and displaying inappropriate behavior. Vulgar language, sexual gestures, and disrespectful behavior toward adults and one another are just some of the complaints we have received from parents and staff alike. Please help us keep Cozine a welcoming space by asking your middle and high school students who pick up siblings to arrive on campus just before the dismissal bell. The bell rings at 3:11 pm. We are hopeful that communication with families and students can help rectify this situation before students have to be trespassed from our campus.
Report Cards
Report cards will be posted on Infinite Campus twice during the year: December 16, 2022 for the first semester and the last day of school, May 22, 2023 for the second semester. A District email will be sent to inform parents of grade availability at the close of each semester.
Your child’s progress may also be checked through Infinite Campus. These reports are all based on grade-level standards. If you have concerns regarding your child’s academic progress, please contact your child’s teacher before or after school.
Yearbook Sales
It's time to order your school yearbook. This year you can conveniently purchase the yearbook online at buytheyearbook.com (Cozine's school ID# is 707711)
Cash purchases will be available for parents on Wednesdays during arrival and dismissal by the front gate. Exact change only please. Yearbooks are $25. Don't miss out on a year of memories.
House Points
Congratulations to Humanitas, the house of kindness, on winning our first House championship! We had our House Celebration today, so if your child is in the green house, ask them about it! We loved seeing our school community in green clothing as they supported Humanitas!
We started a new cycle of House Points on Monday, December 12. Our next celebration will be in March! Good luck to all!
Cozine Shirts for Sale
This post is Carson-approved :)
We have these awesome shirts for sale in the front office! They are $10 and are available in kid and adult sizes.
At this time, the office is only able to accept cash.
REMINDERS
REMINDER: CCSD District Survey
Please click the link below to provide your feedback to CCSD about Cozine ES:

REMINDER: Cell Phones and Smart Watches
At Cozine, students are required to keep their personal communication devices off and in their backpacks during instructional hours. Students are permitted to use their phones before and after school. This aligns with district policy that helps prevent bullying, cyber bullying, unfiltered internet access, and cheating. If you have questions about this policy, please reach out to the office or school administration.
REMINDER: Dads In Schools
Cozine is proud to be a Dads In Schools participating location. Dads in Schools is a program that invests in students’ social emotional well-being and academic progress through community investment, resulting in increased school safety, student self-confidence, and student belonging. The program unites the community by bringing volunteers to the school to help create a positive and safe environment in which students can thrive both academically and socially. Our goal is prevention through presence.
If you are interested in volunteering, please reach out to the office to begin the volunteer process. Volunteers for this program do not need to be male or dads, so please do not hesitate to contact us if you are interested!
