Here we go!
We are beginning the 3rd nine weeks of Kindergarten!
We will be learning all sorts of new things this month!

Non-Fiction Reading
We will be reading non-fictions texts that focus on animals that live in cold climates.
We will also be measuring these animals with non-standard units like blocks or paper clips.
MLK Day
We will be talking about who Martin Luther King Jr. was and how he had a dream to make the world a better place.
Students will be discussing how they can make the world a better place too!
Ground Hog Day!
We will making a craft to celebrate Ground Hog Day on February 2nd!
Valentine's Day
We will be making crafts and celebrating Valentine's Day.
Valentine's will be exchanged on February 12th. You will see a class list come home for this occasion!
Chinese New Year!
It is the year of the monkey! We will be learning a little bit about Chinese culture and how they celebrate the New Year!
President's Day
We will be learning about George Washington as well as Abraham Lincoln.
Day and Night
Students will be learning about what day is and what night is.
What does it look like? What happens at these different times of day?
Greater than or Less than
One of the topics we will be covering in math this nine weeks is greater than or less than!
We will also begin discussing adding and subtracting!
Rocks and Soil
Students will be observing and exploring different kinds of rocks and soils.
They will be using their observation skills a lot!
