Jenna Linskens is a full-time Assistant Professor for the Educational Technology Department in the School of Education at Marian University, Fond du Lac, WI. She has presented both internationally and nationally. In Wisconsin she has presented at the annual WEMTA, WBEA, WAMLE, and SLATE conferences.


Professor Linskens provides various staff development trainings to schools on technology topics including: Effective use of iPads and iPods, Podcasting, Web 2.0 Tools (including Social Media, Wikis, and Blogs), Web Design, E-Portfolios, and SMARTboards.

Session One - 1:15-2:10 PM

During our first sesson with Professor Linskens, our focus will be on Web 2.0 Tools, such as Wikispaces, Animoto, Voki, Survey Monkey, Wordle, bubbl.us, Edmodo, and VoiceThread.

Session Two - 2:20-3:30 PM

After a brief ten-minute break, our second session will focus our attention on the iPad as an educational tool in the classroom. Jenna will provide a brief introduction to this digital device, followed by a wide range of useful applications.

Referendum 2013 - 3:30-3:45 PM

The Hortonville Area School District will ask its voters to approve a $25 million+ referendum question in April, which includes a new elementary school, an addition at HMS, remodeling at HHS, a new transportation facility, and security upgrades in all buildings. Dr. Heidi Schmidt will be on hand to discuss the upcoming referendum with us from 3:30-3:45 PM.

Pending interest, Marian University will be offering EDT 604 - Integrating iPads in the Classroom - at Hortonville Middle School this spring. More information will be shared during the in-service. This is exciting news for all of us as we continue to work to integrate technology in the classroom.
