Family Bulletin for August 10, 2023

News for August 10, 2023
Dear Roseville Area High School Families,
Welcome to the 2023-24 school year! I am the new RAHS principal, Dr. Jen Wilson. I have been in the position for a bit over a month but have been a leader in Roseville for 8 school years and a parent of 623 children for over 10 years. I am excited to be the principal for your students and our school community.
The feel in the building, commitment from our staff, and the interactions I have had thus far with students is energizing. With a building of over 2,300 students and 250 staff we sometimes feel like a “small city” - our goal will be to personalize that for your child and to build up a positive school culture. Our theme this school year will be Rise up, RAHS! What that may mean, too, will be individualized for each student, teacher, support staff, and leader. Whether you connect with the lyrics from the Andra Day song or with the simple meaning “ascend, go up” - our goal will be to “rise up” in the face of new learning, challenges, or social injustices. Together, as a school community.
We have been busy this summer reviewing student outcome data, listening to staff, and working to make changes that will support students’ academically and socially / emotionally. Students should expect to see and feel change. Additional details will be shared closer to the start of the school year.
This year our student support teams have shifted with new leadership hires. Student support teams include an Associate Principal, School Counselor, and Behavior Specialist. Click this link to get contact information about the staff that will support your student.
