Notes from the Administration

We are here for our students and families. Thank you for all of the positive responses that you have given to our teachers. Many have shared that they are essential workers and completing school work can be difficult. We are also considered essential workers and balancing teleworking and our own children. As a school, we can definitely understand the challenges that you face.

We have worked to put many supports in place to support our families. If you need support, please reach out to your child's teacher and we will work as a team to support your child. We will get through this together!

Continuity of Learning Survey

Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s),

On March 30, 2020, the journey with distance learning began for FCPS staff, students, and families. Continuity of Learning (COL) has been underway for a few weeks now and we want to hear from you. Please take a few minutes and respond to our survey on Continuity of Learning. If you have children in more than one school, we ask that you complete the survey for each school that your child(ren) attend(s).

You can participate in the survey either online or by paper. The survey is available in English and Spanish. If you are a parent/guardian needing assistance with reading and/or interpreting this survey in a language other than English or Spanish, please contact the school and someone will be happy to assist you.

Your feedback is important to us! However, please know that your participation in the survey is completely voluntary. Your survey responses will remain confidential and anonymous. Information collected from the survey will be summarized with other parent survey responses.

We ask that you please complete the survey by Friday, May 8, 2020.

In advance, we thank you for your commitment and hard work in supporting FCPS as it implements its Continuity of Learning plan.

Complimentary Year Book

We apologize for all of the confusion that this has caused.

WHES is providing one free year book per family.

Our vendor, Lifetouch, has automated emailings about the yearbook sale. We've requested that they stop sending email blasts to our families.

If you have already purchased a yearbook, our front office will be in touch later this week to discuss your refund.

If you would like to purchase additional yearbooks, that information will be shared next week.

Thank you for your patience.
