Do Drugs Make the Athlete
Your Never the Same After Using Drugs
Are the best really the best
With a desire to be the best, many athletes in sports like baseball, football, hockey, basketball and many more, take short cuts by using drugs. Drugs like steroids, testosterone, adrenaline, cocaine, morphine, methadone, and hundreds more are the main substances that are found being enhanced by athletes after drug tests.
It only gets harder
As stakes are higher and competition becomes more challenging, athletes have more weight to carry on their shoulders and have more requirements that they need to meet. With so much expected, many athletes think, the only way to succeed, is to cheat.
When asking students from LCJSMS what sport they think has the most drug users, eighth grader Emily Trimino said, " Baseball because many articles have been on baseball players using drugs."
Many punishments have been in place depending on how serious the case is. LCJSMS student and eighth grader Ryan Shimek said, "They should be suspended for many games and go into rehab, if it doesn't get better, the athlete should be suspended."
Eighth grader Aaron Kapoor said, " I think baseball is the sport with the most drug users because I have heard from ESPN and Television talking about Baseball players using steroids to become stronger."
