PTO Directory
Last week this school year’s PTO Directory was updated on Directory Spot, our online directory app. All families should have received notification about how to access. This year the data came from Final Forms, specifically the new Student School Directory (Opt-In) form. All families have access to Directory Spot and the EH Greene School Directory through October 1, and it is recommended that you log on to review the directory information for your student and make any updates. After October 1, the directory will only be open to those families who have joined the PTO. If you have not yet joined the PTO you can find information on how to on this webpage - https://www.sycamoreschools.org/Page/2908. Please direct any questions about the Directory to ehgreenedirectory@gmail.com. Thank you for supporting the PTO.

Joseph-Beth Book Fair is Coming Soon
OCTOBER 25 - NOVEMBER 2
in the Greene School Media Center
We’re super-excited about our upcoming Book Fair. There will be hundreds of books available for the students to purchase. Prices will range from $1.99 to about $25.00, with the average price of a book being $6.00 or $7.00.
There will be something for all ages, so perhaps plan to get a head start on your holiday shopping. Teachers will also have Wish Lists if you’d like to buy a gift for your child’s classroom.
The first day of the Fair is Thursday, October 25 beginning at 3:00 and the final day is Friday November 2 ending at 12:00. It will be open each weekday from 7:45am -3 PM, and will also be open during ALL conferences times.
Your child will visit the Book Fair during their regularly scheduled Multimedia Exploration class. Those not in that class are encouraged to visit the book fair independently any time during the week by getting a pass from their teacher.
Conference time is an excellent time to come with your child to shop at our Book Fair. We will be open during the evening conferences on Thursday October 25 and Thursday November 1 until 8 PM. We will also be open on Conference Day, Friday October 26. So . . . be sure to stop by the Media Center. We’ll be looking for you!
Additionally, we will be collecting loose change (or dollar bills) to help buy new books for the Operation Give Back library in Blue Ash. You can go to www.ogiveback.com to learn more about that organization. There will be a jar at the Fair in which to donate your loose change (or dollar bills). Our goal is to donate $100 worth of new books to OGB.
THANK YOU FOR HELPING TO PUT GREAT BOOKS INTO
THE HANDS OF GREAT KIDS!
PBIS for Parents - PBIS at home - Be Respectful
Ideally, the Aviator Expectations are used in every setting at school, on the bus, in the community and even at home. How can I use this at home? Simply take our “Four Be’s” of Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Safe and Be a Problem Solver and talk about what that looks like at home! What can kids do to “Be Respectful” at home? Behaviors such as not interrupting, listening when others are talking, talking about disagreements in a calm manner, getting along with siblings, and doing chores without arguing are some examples of things kids can do at home. Pick three or four behaviors that you might want to target at your house, and have a family discussion about it. Don’t forget to acknowledge those respectful behaviors when you see them! You may even pick a reward to work toward! Have fun with it! Check back next week when we talk about how to “Be Responsible” at home!
Stay Connected with the Greene School PTO!
In an effort to become more eco-friendly and streamline our communications with families, we will be increasing our use of social media to help everyone stay connected. We’ll be posting to the PTO Facebook page and private Facebook group to share news about upcoming events and activities. Log in to your Facebook account and follow "Edwin H. Greene PTO” (https://www.facebook.com/ehgpto/) and ask to join the private "Greene School PTO” Group (https://bit.ly/2CGbs0j). You’ll receive PTO updates in your regular Facebook newsfeed…making it so much easier to Stay Connected!
