Bronco Nation Update

We are Bronco Nation. We will leave a LEGACY.

In Person Students: Screenshot your schedule from Skyward & First Day Procedures

On Monday (9/7), log in to Skyward and screenshot or download your daily schedule for both A day and B day.

Tuesday 9/8 is a B Day.

Students will go straight to their 5th period class on Tuesday 9/8.

All staff will be wearing a black Legacy shirt and black pants/skirts so that students can readily identify a staff member for assistance.

Student Council leaders and adults will greet students and help new students find their way to class Tuesday morning. Campus maps will be made available for students at the front receptionist desk, if needed. Teachers will also help new students find their classes as they move throughout the school day.

Our campus focus for Tuesday and Wednesday next week is to acclimate students back into the in-person environment. We will all be doing quite a bit of teaching (new procedures, expectations) for the first few days next week.

*IDs: In-Person students will receive their ID card through Social Studies classes on a rotating schedule through Sept 16th. Please tell your student to be patient and listen for an announcement from their social studies teacher regarding when they will go to the library to get their ID made. *If for some reason your student does not have a social studies class on their schedule, they will be able to go to the library before classes any day to have an ID made (7:00-7:20 AM).

MISD Bus Rider Information for Sept 8th

The Mansfield ISD Transportation Department consists of dedicated professionals who are proud to safely transport eligible MISD students. Before the start of in-person instruction on Sept. 8 for families enrolled in that option, please familiarize yourself with MISD’s bus rider procedures.

There is also a list of extended safety protocols that will be in place for school bus services. You can read more about face covering requirements, safety measures and cleaning practices here.

To reduce the amount of possible contact on school buses, families are strongly encouraged to drop students off, carpool or walk with their student to school.

For families who are still in need of bus service, MISD makes it easy for you to know which bus your child will ride through the online bus stop finder. (You can also access the link any time on the district’s homepage through the blue “Find My Bus” button.) Simply enter the student's address information and click "go."

Using this easy online tool will save parents a call to the transportation dispatch line, which may be experiencing an increase in calls during the first days of in-person instruction.

If you have additional questions about transportation, contact MISD Transportation at 817-299-6060.

Reminder for students: Bring your own water bottle

How to add the calculator app to your Chrome Book

In an attempt to NOT share calculators once students return to school on Sept 8th, we are asking all math students to add the calculator to their Chrome Book OR download the calculator app to their own electronic device.

Of course, we have calculators in each math class for students who are without a device for the day. We will sanitize the classroom calculators after each use.

TCC Dual Credit Course Release & Liability Waiver

It has been approved for in-person learners to be able to return home for each dual credit class during this semester.

Students and parents must complete, sign, and return the release and liability waiver form and you must have your own transportation. Starting September 8th, if you are an in-person student and do not return this form or have transportation, you are expected to report to the library for each TCC class. If this form is not on file and you do not report to the library for your TCC class, you will receive an unexcused absence. Please return the form to Pamela Pinkerton in the library or you may email the form to her (pamelapinkerton@misdmail.org). Please let me know if you have any questions.
