February is Black History Month. At Newnan High, we will be celebrating the contribution of outstanding African-American artists, athletes, politicians and innovators.

Monday, February 8 - Girls' Soccer @ Carrollton

Tuesday, February 9- Soccer @ NHS / Region Basketball Tourny begins @ Langston Hughes

Wednesday, February 10 - Faculty Meeting, 4:00-5:00 in the Main Cafeteria

Thursday, February 11 - ValuTeachers / Black History Program / State Wrestling Tournament begins

Friday, February 12 - CEC Arena / Valentine Surprise / Coffee with the Principal: Community Leaders

To Do List

  • Have all grades posted by 10:00 AM on Tuesday, February 9.

  • Update Windows and complete upgrade to Windows 10. See email from Dr. Puckett or contact Beth Sullivan.

  • Very important! Please complete the Georgia School Climate Personnel Survey in the link below. Please don't confuse this with other surveys you have taken earlier in the year; we have not participated in this survey yet and it is a requirement for CCRPI. http://apps.gadoe.org/schoolclimate/personnel.nsf/Survey.xsp

  • Black History Celebration: The theme this year is, "United we stand, divided we fall." Please fill out this form ( BHC form ) if you are willing to help out with your baking/buying talents. The committee is accepting whole cakes or pies and individually wrapped items. Please drop off items in the AV Room before 5 P.M. on Feb. 11.

  • Click in SLDS: Our goal is 50 page views per month.

  • Remind seniors: Fees are now due.

  • Remind AP students: Payments can be made to Lisa or Pat in the Principal's Office.

  • Throwback Thursdays: It is time to review in all content areas! Each Thursday spend some time going over prior content covered with students. Remember to use your SGA and EOCT results from last semester when planning.

  • Future Rockstars of NHS: Send a picture, video, or quote to Dr. Puckett or Ms. Doster of an engaging lesson or activity that works in your classroom! Please include the word "Rockstar" in the subject line.
