TDaP &Meningitis Vaccination Clinic
In partnership with Akron Children’s Hospital, Health Heroes, Inc will be offering the TDaP & Meningitis vaccination clinics at Medina City Schools on MAY 4th, 2021.These vaccinations are REQUIRED for school enrollment by the State of Ohio.
The 2020-21 PACE Outstanding Teacher Award
Do you know a teacher who has gone above and beyond for gifted students in our district? If so, please consider nominating that special educator for the 2020-21 PACE Outstanding Teacher Award.
Nominating a teacher is a simple process that only takes a few minutes All submissions are due April 20, 2021.
Run 4 Fun
The annual Medina City Schools Foundation Run.4.Fun is right around the corner on Friday, May 7, 2021, at Medina High School. Have you registered yet? Click here for all of the details. Proceeds from this event go to support the many scholarships provided to our students, the high school tutoring center, and staff grants for additional educational enrichment opportunities for all students.

April 29-Induction Ceremony (in school - no outside visitors)
National Junior Honor Society Induction video will be posted to Root webpage by the second week of May.
Food Pantry
Many thanks to A.I. Root’s STePS parent group, for their generous offer to restock breakfast items, bimonthly, at Brookdale Mobile Home Park school bus stop. Items are dropped off at Root where school staff then fill the shelves at Brookdale.
Quarantined Students
Visitors
- The building is still closed to outside visitors.
- All meetings will be held virtually.
- Families will not be able to drop off food for students. Lunch is free and available for all students.
