Good Vibes from the Sawnee Tribe
I would like to nominate Celeste DuHamel. She Always offers to help others in any situation! She is always the first one to volunteer. She will take students during her free time to finish a project. She is the person who initiates the money collection for the custodians during the holidays. When we finished our blankets for Choa, she took them home to pick off all of the loose threads because she wanted the children to receive the best blanket they can. Just today, she offered to come help me deliver backpacks on Friday. She also gave me several packs of oil pastels so I could do a project with my students. She is a generous and supportive co-worker and I am grateful that she is my neighbor!! She even took my whole kinder class today while I was dealing with a situation! She had two classes today! Again, amazing and supportive!!!
Lori Bolding works so hard on many things for our grade level. She is our technology guru. She made sure to have plans ready for all our inclement weather days for our team. She goes above and beyond and is always available for technology questions. She worked diligently on grouping our kids to make sure they were placed properly for Shine Time. We appreciate everything she does and could not do it without her!

Sydney's Got Heart
Thank you, thank you, thank you for showing the giving side of Sawnee's students and staff. We were able to collect so many items for the CHOA Pediatric Cardiac Unit and Sydney herself will be here to announce the grade level winner on Tuesday (be sure to check out her visit on the announcements).

ELA Resources Available for Viewing
We will have the top tier resources placed into select schools for review by both our teaching staff and community. The review will begin Tuesday, February 20th and end Friday, March 2nd.
Since Sawnee is housing the American Reading Company 5th grade materials, we will also receive 3rd grade F & P for viewing (they have only designed materials at this point up to 3rd grade).
There will be information regarding viewing and feedback procedures coming soon. All materials at schools will be available for viewing on 2/20, DCD day.
