Playground Updates - Notes from Meeting
On December 16 at 10:30am, Principal - Marci Formby, School Secretary - Leah Pearson, PTA Fundraising Chair - Daniela Wood and PTA President - Sherry Fox, met to discuss allocation of funds raised for playground updates.
Daniela and Sherry came with several suggestions, including additional swings, some climbing equipment, and balance beams.
Principal Formby explained that the students she met with would be most interested in additional swings. As a result of this conversation, the climbing equipment was removed from the list and a call will be made to the playground vendor to discuss the possibility of not only adding two swings to the existing set but also adding an additional swing set with 4- 6 swings. If it is determined that we have the space required to add an additional swing set, and they can be purchased and installed within our budget limits, we will move forward with the purchase. If there are any remaining funds after the swing set is added and installed, they will be used to purchase a balance beam, ball carts, and/or basketball hoop nets as funds permit.
PTA will contact the vendor to establish a timeline for purchase and installation and let everyone know within 30 days of her findings.
