Appearance, Size, Life Span
The leapord is the smallest out of the four cats Panthera pardus. The leapord has short legs long body and large skull. Its fur has rosettes on it , they are called rosettes because they look like roses. The leapord looks very similar to the Jaguar, but the leapord is built better, and their rosettes are smaller. The size of the leapord, they weigh 66 to 176 pounds. Their height is 4.25 to 6.25ft, the length of their tail is 3.5 to 4.5ft. In captivity there life span is up to 21 years.
Diet and Behavior
The leapord has a opportunistic behavior. Their ability to adapt to different habitats and run up to 36 mph, and climb a tree with a carcass in its mouth. The leapord is a carnivore. It will eat anything it catches. Mostly small rodents or large deer type looking animals. they go for a month without water.
