The School Year Comes to a Close!

As the school year comes to a close, it is important to take a moment to reflect on the year. Your children have grown so much--physically, emotionally and cognitively. They have learned to be better readers, writers, and mathematicians. They have learned to make observations, collect data, and wonder about things. They have learned to communicate better, collaborate with others, and to use their critical thinking and problem solving skills in many areas of the classroom and outside the classroom. They have grown as a people as we focused each month on traits that help us to be our best selves and interact better with others--Patience, Honesty, Kindness, Tolerance, Empathy, Compassion, Responsibility, Perseverance, Teamwork and Respect.

We have also had a lot of fun with our community events--Book Fairs, Plant Science Family Night, Trunk or Treat, Winter Arts Festival, Skate Party, Family Sweetheart Dance, Love of Reading Night, and most recently the Bash and Dash Color Run. The volunteers who make these and so many other things possible can not be thanked enough!

We improved our facilities with a new Ventana Vista wall pad in the MPR, a new sound system, new water fountains, a new Lego Wall on the playground, and our new outdoor tables will be coming during the summer. Thank you to all who participated in our fundraisers to make these things possible. Our FFO has been an amazing support!

It takes a community of teachers, children and families to create a positive school culture. Thank you for your contributions to all things that make up Ventana Vista! I wish you a summer filled with family time, adventures and a lot of books! Can't wait to see you again in August!

With love and appreciation,

Mrs. Mulay

Fifth Grade Promotion

We will bid our fifth grade students a fond farewell on Wednesday! The Fifth Grade Promotion will take place at 1:00pm in the MPR. The parking lot will be busy, so carpool if possible.

Summer Mailing

During the late summer, you will receive all of the information you need for next school year including class placement information. AZMerit and AIMS scores for 4th and 5th grades will also be mailed home at that time. So look for that in late July or first days of August. We will also be in touch via Remind.
