Message from the Principal
Dear One Daniel Family,
Thank you for an amazing end to our non-traditional school year. We were reminded many times that we have an amazing (and flexible) faculty, and that we serve the best communities. As we start the summer, we will focus on preparing for the 20-21 school year. We will be working diligently to make sure that we are creating a learning environment that is safe for all. We plan to update you throughout the summer.
On June 3rd, we mailed the final report cards and tentative 20-21 schedules to all of our students (rising 9th received these at RC Edwards during pick up). If you have questions or want to make schedule changes, please fill out the Schedule Change Form (linked below) using your student's school email account. We will contact you when the schedule has been changed. Not all courses have summer work, but if they do, the requirements will be listed on the Summer Work Slideshow linked below and posted on our website and social media sites.
We are also tentatively planning to hold registration virtually this summer. The goal of holding a virtual registration is to minimize large group gatherings. We have determined that many of the parts of the traditional registration process can be completed online. We will send out to each of our families information regarding the process for registering your student virtually.
While there are many details still undecided, we promise to keep your student’s academic success and health at the forefront of all discussions. We are looking forward to an exciting 20-21 school year.
2020-2021 Course Registration
Students should have recieved a tentative copy of their schedules for the 20-21 school year. Please note that these schedules may change depending on class sizes, course offerings, or other unforseen factors. If you notice that your schedule does not contain a class that you need for graduation or if you notice that you are scheduled for a class that you no longer wish to take, you may complete this form: https://bit.ly/dhscoursechangerequestform. We will not make changes to schedules based on teacher preferences or requests to have a course during a specific period. If you have a question about your courses, please reach out to your guidance counselor or assistant principal.
