Louis Armstrong, was born on August 4, 1901, in New Orleans, Louisiana. He was an amazing trumpeter and had an amazing voice. Louis Armstrong impressed a ton of people. He recorded several songs throughout his career, including songs like "Star Dust," "La Via En Rose" and "What a Wonderful World."
Armstrong had a rough childhood. His father was a factory worker and left the family soon after Louis's birth; his mother, left him with his grandmother. Armstrong was ordered to leave school in the fifth grade to begin working. A Jewish family, the Karnofskys, encouraged him to sing. He started singing, and began to play musical instruments. He still had to work, but he always made time to play music. other musicians began to recognize louis, and started giving him tips.
