Life on UIC Campus

Campus Life

Chicago is more than a line in our address-everyday life at UIC is enriched by the city that surrounds us.

A hub of activity in its own right, the UIC campus is just minutes away from restaurants of every style, cutting-edge music, concerts and events at Millennium Park on Chicago's lakefront, State Street and Michigan Avenue shopping, esteemed art and science museums and so much more.

Convenient transportation and our central location make it easy for students to become part of this friendly, easy-to-adopt city-the perfect combination of big-city opportunity and small-neighborhood quality of life.

Housing.

Housing is in between 7,000 and 12,000 depends where you want to stay and what side n type of housing you in.

UIC Traditions The (UIC Fight Song) Fire Flames

By Roland F. Rose

FIRE UP FLAMES!
We stand behind you,
We love the red and blue
We'll cheer you on to victory
We'll be there o' so true!

FIRE UP FLAMES!
You'll be a winner.
They'll find it hot
When you turn up the heat!
So march on today to victory
'Cause we cannot be beat!
