Welcome Back!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and New Year celebration! We enjoyed our break, but are looking forward to seeing our friends again!

Prayer Request

Abraham Burleigh underwent emergency abdominal surgery on Friday. From Kristin "He was helicoptered to CHOP early Friday morning, and the surgeon removed about 3 feet of intestine that was coiling upon itself, causing his bowel to start to die. His colon was blue, and had we waited another day, it may have been beyond repair. Tomorrow marks 2 years home from Ethiopia for him, and we are reminded that God has a plan beyond our comprehension. We are so thankful he is here and he is our son. Oh and he had his wisdom teeth removed yesterday too!". He is recovering well, smiling and taking juice and ice chips. This is his second surgery of this nature, so please pray for complete healing for him. As I hear of ways we can help, I will let you know!

Standardized Testing

At Classical Conversations Testing Services, we believe that standardized testing is an important part of preparing students for college entrance exams, whether your state mandates testing or not. We take a very pragmatic attitude towards testing: The test results are not as important as the skill of test-taking, though achievement tests do provide parents with reliable data for evaluating prog ress in language and math skills. Each year, we offer local, on-site testing for grades 3–12 through our communities. We are looking for a homeschool parent from this community to coordinate testing this year. For more details, and to apply, visit www.cctestingservices.com.

Parent Off Campus Policy

I want to remind everyone that a parent needs to be on campus with your children at all times. If a situation arises where you need to leave, another parent must be willing to act as guardian, I need to be informed and have a note in writing and signed by both parties. Please speak to me if you have any questions.

The Moore Family - update

Gideon continues to undergo treatments and Dr. appointments. Please keep praying! You can continue to contribute funds to Amy Lynn at any time. Thank you!

Help Needed for Morning Childcare

I sent a sign-up around to the Challenge moms to volunteer in the AM for our Childcare. We'll need parents from our group to also help out, that list will go around the each class on 12/15. Thank you!
