Principal Surfing Boards

Course: How surfing boards are made

Tuesday, Oct. 13th, 6pm

Waikīkī Beach, Honolulu, HI, United States

Honolulu, HI

  1. We order lots of fiberglass boards. The boards are bigger than the final one, and it’s the shaper the person who has to improve the quality just like a sculptor
  2. After these the board is prepared to be painted with the design the buyer want. It could be very difficult to do but board painters are so good at this.
  3. When the paint is dry we put another transparent and resistant layer to protect the fiberglass from salt and water.
  4. And finally we just sand the board.

This activity is divided in two sections, shaper and painter. All the Tuesdays at 6.00 pm and also at 11 am if you have class in the afternoon.

Lifesaving courses

As you all know, in every beach, there is lots of lifesaving guards. What we do here, is to prepare our students to be lifesaving guards, and we do it by surfing becouse of many reassons. One of them is that you can get to a place faster, and you will get to the person faster. Another reasson is that doesn´t matter the weight of the person, becouse you will put him on your surf board.

So we are ready to give you the opportunity to learn how to be a lifesaver here, in this club.
