Por favor, desplácese hacia abajo para seleccionar español.

The summer is quickly coming to an end, and we couldn't be more excited to see your children back at school. For those of you new to La Mesa, the La Mesa Update comes out throughout the year to inform you on things happening at La Mesa. Parent Volunteers Needed

We are still in need of several parent volunteers for our Summer Check-in on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, August 5th-7th from 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Please click HERE to sign up!

Before and After School Supervision 8:00 am - 4:00 pm

Supervision is available starting at 8:00 am. Gates to the campus do not open until this time and adults are not available to supervise students prior to 8:00 am.

Supervision is available after school until 4:00 pm. Students involved in an after-school activity that ends after 4:00 pm should have a ride waiting for them. Students who are left unsupervised will be prohibited from participating in after-school activities.

We understand that emergencies arise. Please have a backup plan ready for situations where your regular plan falls through or traffic causes you to be late.

The safety of your child is a priority for us. This is a shared responsibility. Please partner with us to ensure your child is well supervised and safe.

Please use this opportunity to recognize La Mesa staff members that have made a difference for you or your child by clicking HERE to fill out a message.

Personal Electronic Device Policy

At La Mesa, students are encouraged to interact and be focused on school. As such, personal electronic devices such as cell phones, tablets, smart watches, and video games are to be powered off and stored in the student's backpack once they enter the school gate. They may again access their device after they exit the gate at the end of the school day.

The full policy can be accessed HERE. All students should have a signed copy on file that they received in our summer mailer. You will return this to us at Summer Check-in. Not having a copy signed however, does not exclude students from the policy.

Please review our FAQ regarding the Personal Device Policy HERE.

Dress Code

Yes, there is indeed a dress code at La Mesa. Please be sure to review it carefully with your child. Our goal is create a campus that is focused on and ready for learning. Students found out of dress code will be changed into a school provided T-shirt and/or shorts. We do not have extra shoes. Students wearing open toe or open back shoes will not be able to be part of school activities until a parent can bring proper shoes. Please review the policy HERE.
