If in doubt about the status of your child's documentation, please call Mrs. Stavely at 484-266-1406 or email PStavely@wcasd.net.
Please remember to notify the teacher and the school nurse if your child has a positive Covid test or has a direct exposure to a person testing positive for Covid, even if it occurs during remote learning. You can email Mrs. Stavely. We greatly appreciate everyone in our community following the safety protocols and keeping each other safe during this time.
WEARING OF MASKS
IN CASE YOU MISSED THE EMAIL FROM DR. MISSETT
Dear Elementary Families,
I am writing to inform you that the West Chester Area School District is offering FREE Summer Learning Opportunities for students entering Grades 1-5 this fall.
We hope you can join us for the webinar via Zoom on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at 6:00 pm as we review a wide variety of learning experiences designed to meet the needs of students and families over the summer months. The meeting will be recorded and posted on our website for you to access at a later time.
KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION - 2021-2022 SCHOOL YEAR
Do you need to register your child for school? Please do so sooner than later.
Parents MUST complete registration online https://www.wcasd.net/Page/12419 first.
Parents can upload documents by scanning them or taking a picture of document and uploading to the registration portal. If parents are unable to do that, parents should email the documents to Terry Spranger (TSpranger@wcasd.net). She can upload the documents in the system if parents are unable to upload them directly online. After completion of information and uploads on the district web site, please email or call Mrs. Spranger to complete your registration virtually. Students must be five years of age before September 1st to enter Kindergarten.
When school resumes, parents will need to provide the hard copy documentation.
EXPRESSIONS OF EQUITY
If you have not yet had a chance, please submit the survey by Wednesday, 3/3. The Parent/Caregiver Group of the EXE Staff Equity Team would like to hear your feedback! Thank you to everyone who has already submitted a response.
Next week is Read Across America Week formerly known as Dr. Seuss Week. As time allows, please read the article offered by the Equity Team, It's Time to Talk About Dr. Seuss. We hope you find it informative.
PARENT DROP OFF AND PICK UP
Again, I would ask that parents be patient. Not only for the safety of the children and staff but yourselves as well. Please:
- Do not pull out of the line after your student as exited the car (drop off) or entered the car (pick up). Cars ahead of you in the line may not see you. Staff is moving cars out as quickly as possible.
- When arriving for pick up, please utilize the cul-de-sac. As cars exit the cul-de-sac, cars should pull in the cul-de-sac, not enter the parking lot.
- When exiting the playground, make the right at the first One Way sign.
