Please be advised that I am on Long Service Leave from 22nd June until 21st July (2 weeks are school holidays).
Mrs Anderson is Acting Principal in my absence. Mrs Salvia will take on the Assistant Principal role during this time and will be out of class for a few days per week.
I thank Mrs Anderson and Mrs Salvia for taking on these roles and know the school will be in very good hands during my absence.
Reports
Next Wednesday 28th June the student reports will be made available online to families through SEQTA. These reports contain specific information relating to each individual student’s achievement at this point in time.
I encourage you to spend time with your child/children, going through their report, to celebrate the successes and work to be done to achieve even better results.
The teachers here at Queen of Apostles have spent a great deal of time gathering data and writing individualised comments so you have an accurate picture of where each student is at. I would like to thank them for their time and commitment to this task.
Disco
The school disco in the hall last Friday was well attended by both junior and senior students and a great deal of fun. There were some excellent dance moves on show and the DJ was fantastic. I would like to thank the P&F for putting this on for our students.
Year 2 Mass
Next Tuesday at 9.00am in the church the Year 2 class will lead us in Mass. The whole community is invited and it will be a great way to celebrate what has been a fantastic term. I thank Mrs Gordon and Mrs Kuhn for organising.
Pupil Free Day
A reminder that Monday 17th July is a Pupil Free Day at Queen of Apostles.

Edu-Dance Concert
Our Edu-Dance Concert will be held next Wednesday 28 June 2023 in our Parish Hall. There will be two concerts:
2.15 - 2.35. PP, 2, 4, 6
2.40 - 3.00. Yrs 1, 3, 5 and 6
To allow all parents and their guests to view their child's performance, we ask that parents/guests only attend their children's session (Year 6 parents can choose either session).
The Hall will be opened at 2.00pm.
We look forward to some great performances on the day.

International Competitions and Assessments for Schools (ICAS)
ICAS Assessments
We are delighted to inform you that Queen of Apostles will again be participating in the world-renowned ICAS competition this year.
What is ICAS?
ICAS is an online academic competition that is designed to assess students’ higher order thinking and problem-solving skills in English, Mathematics, Science, Writing and Spelling.
Each assessment celebrates students’ accomplishments by providing opportunities for recognition and development. Every student who participates will receive a printed certificate and an online results report. Top performers will be eligible for medals.
We encourage you to consider entering your child into ICAS this year.

Footy Tipping
Round 13 saw the second round of byes, with 8 games and 16 teams competing. Zara Lilly did an amazing job tipping to score 5 out of 8 in what was a difficult round for all our tippers.
Round 14 was the third of the bye round with 6 games played. Six people enjoyed a perfect round from our Queenies Footy Tipping competition, however there can only be one winner each week and that winner is Karen Joyce.

P&F Disco - Thank you to our Volunteers
The P&F disco last Friday was an absolute hit! With pizza, dancing, and karaoke led by DJ "Bop Till You Drop," the energy was contagious.
A special shout-out to Tracy Italiano, whose exceptional leadership, alongside our group of dedicated parent volunteers, made this event a resounding success. The glow sticks and party bags were a huge hit, adding an extra layer of fun and delight. Thank you, Tracy, and all the volunteers, for your outstanding efforts in creating an unforgettable experience for the kids. Your dedication and hard work made this disco truly spectacular!
