Message From The Principal
Hello Eagle families,
I attended a workshop this week hosted by Dr. Vincent Pompei. The topic was how to support students in our LGBTQ community. It was informative and thought provoking. He shared some disturbing statistics from California LGBTQ students:
- only 21% of are out to their parents
- 29% are taunted or mocked by family members
- only 32% say they can be themselves at school
- only 5% are open about their orientation to all of their teachers
- 78% report they have felt depressed in the past week
- only 32% always feel safe in the classroom
Rancho Vista takes great pride in being inclusive and appreciative of ALL students. We strive to create a culture where every student feels welcomed and valued. I encourage all interested students in joining the Pride Club which began this year.
Think different. Be different.

Staff "Shout Out"
Ashley Bleemers- Ashley is such a sweetheart and always kind to my son. Plus I want to thank her for helping me out with four cases of food for PVES for Monday! You're the best Ashley!
Mrs. Kalldin - I want to thank you for all of the effort you put into helping my daughter with her academics.
Students are put in a difficult situation when they receive a phone call from a parent during class time. This is not only a distraction for the student, built a disruption to the classroom. We respect the need for parents to communicate with their students, but please do not call during class times.
Ms. Kristen Rice has returned to the Ranch and will serve as the counselor for all of our seniors and most of our juniors. You can make an appointment with her by clicking the box below or reaching out to her by email or phone at:
