Welcome to Spring Break
March 18-27: Spring Break, 2022
Congratulations on a Wonderful 3rd Quarter!

January Highlights
In January, we returned from Winter Break to get back into the work of learning and growing! Our students came back refreshed from their family and friend time, and it was fun to see everyone again. In or our first month of third quarter, we celebrated Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, we held a Parent Teacher Organization Meeting, we celebrated some of our highest attendance rates of the school year, and we welcomed three new staff members to our team (Ms. Jasmine at the front desk, Ms. Wolfe in Kindergarten, and Ms. J as a Building Substitute Teacher). It was a cold but awesome first month!
February Highlights
February 1st kicked off Black History Month and we spent the entire three and a half weeks researching people, events, and movements that have impacted the trajectory of black history. At the end of the month, we celebrated the next generation of black Americans in our student population by holding an amazing Black History Month Talent Show. Our students were brilliant performers! Other highlights in February included Frozen Friday (dressing up in our favorite Disney attire), Valentine's Day (wearing as much red as possible), and Counselor's Week (celebrating Ms. Gregory's amazing contributions to the Patrick Henry community).
March Highlights
In March, we celebrated Women's History Month and all of the fabulous females working in this school! We recognized our predecessors of powerful women who paved the way for us to move forward and make the world a more equitable place. We received amazing materials from our DonorsChoose projects, the Little Bit Book Fair, and the Oasis Tutoring book donation. We reconnected with our families with our Spring Parent Teacher Conferences the last week before Spring Break, giving our families the chance to speak directly to their child's teachers across all content areas. It was wonderful to see so many parents, even in the virtual setting! We also celebrated Social Worker's Week where we showered Ms. Harris with love and gifts and treats!
We enjoyed our flexible seating and our classroom libraries | We added movement to academic work to keep our brains fresh | We won an amazing honor with a St. Louis Symphony art contest |
Have a safe and fun Spring Break!
