An Update from Perkiomen Valley Middle School West
A Word From Mr. Creeden
On Wednesday of this past week we recognized our amazing, hard-working, and always welcoming administrative professionals here at West. We are SO THANKFUL for our front office admin of Shannon Bricker, Colleen Sitron, and Lori Tropea (pic below) for making the West office run smoothly and efficiently each and every day.
We are so thrilled that ‘PV Woods - Lenape Arboretum & Muhlenberg Woods’ received the distinguished ‘Governor’s Award for Environmental Excellence’ (see pic below). This is an amazing recognition from Harrisburg. Thank you to everyone who supported us over these past two years. This is truly a win for our entire Perkiomen Valley community. We were the only school district recognized this year, along with many other outstanding non-profits, businesses, and government agencies, who are making a difference for the environment. The awards dinner included; Secretary Cindy Adams Dunn, PA DCNR, Davitt Woodwell, PEC President and Acting Secretary Richard Negrin, PA DEP
So Thankful for Middle School West's Admin Professionals😊

Middle School West Spring Art Show🎨
PVMS West’s Spring Art Show was held on Thursday, April 27th from 5:00 to 7:30 PM. Advanced art from sixth-, seventh-, and eighth-grade students was displayed in the library and the art room hallway. Sixth grade showcased their understanding of cultural motifs through Indian Kolam, symbolism within African Adinkra textiles and graphics in universal advertising. Seventh grade showed technical drawing skills using two-point perspective, knowledge of color theory, and life observation in still-life compositions. Eighth grade offered superior examples of slab construction in clay, abstract line designs, and conceptual self portraits with realistic proportions. Art Club showcased their independent pieces. Most of the show will remain on display through mid-May. Thank you to everyone who came out to support West’s wonderful art program.

Parents of 6th grade students, please know that you are required to submit a physical form for your child during this school year. In addition, if your child receives any immunizations, please submit those as well. Prior to the start of 7th grade, your child will need to receive the Tdap and Meningitis vaccinations, so now is a good time to get those immunizations!
Parents of 7th grade students are required to submit a dental form for your child.
The school physician and the school dentist will be at Middle School West in the Spring of 2023, and your child will be seen by them if the proper form is not handed in prior.
Tween Talk Group
Tweens, ages 11 to 13, are invited to chat in a fun, informal atmosphere with Erin McMonagle, a guidance counselor at Perkiomen Valley East Middle School - as part of our Julia’s Joy Youth Empowerment Program. We have created a safe group, where they can come relax, unload and learn they are not alone all while meeting new friends. We believe learning Stress Management tips will help youth deal with the pressures they are feeling at this age and into the future!
This group is free thanks to donations, if you would like to make a donation, it is always appreciated, but not necessary!
