Counselor's Corner

In December all classes continued to learn about Bullying Prevention- specifically refusal behaviors that may be utilized to support self and others (being an upstander) and some in 5th grade also began to explore gratitude. In January all classes will explore gratitude. 1st graders will also learn more about friendship. 2nd graders will investigate diversity. 4th graders will deepen their understanding of empathy. Students in grades 3 and 5 will be taught about the brain and its role in self-regulation.

Small groups that meet during lunches have begun and will continue throughout the year. If you feel that your child could benefit from some additional information/exploration and you have not submitted this yet please complete the google form to let Ms Jeananne Shultz know.

If you have any questions or just want to talk about support for your child please call or email Ms Jeananne Shultz.
